About 1750 Bayview Avenue — The Braxton
Nestled northwest of the downtown core, the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood thrives as a residential retreat with a friendly small-town ambience. As such, many prospective buyers attracted the neighbourhood will quickly fall for the Braxton Condos, located at the prominent corner of Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East.
At 1750 Bayview, the Braxton Condos boast a stalwart structure that stands at 6 storeys tall. Completed in 2000 by Bayview Green Developments, the timeless architecture’s masonry creates a warm atmosphere. Accented by vertical series of balconies and windows, the design culminates on the side of the Braxton that faces Bayview and Eglinton East: here, two already wide windows panels come together to form a grand, yet understatedly elegant façade.
Moreover, some convenient commercial spaces can be found at this corner of the building. As a result, residents usually enter the building through doors framed by a charming awning. Similarly, the amenities offered to residents serve them well: they can work out in the well-equipped exercise room and host friends and family in the versatile party room, tastefully decorated by Clinton Design.
Additionally, the ample parking feels refreshing compared to the typical struggle to find a spot with some downtown Toronto condos. Shared by 1750 Bayview’s residents, the underground parking garage has more than enough spaces, kindly accommodating their friends and families who will surely want to visit Leaside often.
The Suites
For those attracted to Toronto condos for sale here, it’s a good thing the Braxton Condos contain 52 suites. Ranging in size from around 700 to over 2,500 square feet, the suites in the building include one and two bedroom homes, and some two plus den units as well. Regardless of which suite best serves a prospective buyer, high ceilings and smart floor plans throughout the building always provide a sense of comfort.
Courtesy of their prime Leaside location, views are exceptional. Although not every one of 1750 Bayview’s suites has a balcony of its own, the large windows encasing the building ensure an abundance of natural light and fresh air flows throughout the building. So, even though some residents have customized their suites by now, prospective residents have the enviable position of always starting with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The Neighbourhood
While this property is technically located in Mount Pleasant, residents can also call Leaside home. A proud community, the Leaside neighbourhood only became officially part of Toronto in 1998. The neighbourhood has always been well connected to the city, but the community supports its own collection of local boutiques, restaurants and cafés as well. The majority of these businesses can be found to the south along Bayview between Parkhurst Boulevard and Millwood Road
About a five-minute walk, the Braxton Condos’ residents can eat out every night of the week at a distinct spot if they so please. Boredom is never an option, either, since ‘local’ in Toronto means Indian, Chinese, French, Japanese and more.
Of course, one can’t actually eat out every night. Those living at 1750 Bayview appreciate the convenience of the Sunnybrook Plaza across the street, which is home to a Metro and a Beer Store.
Transportation
Living at Eglinton and Bayview, a major midtown Toronto intersection, means that residents can easily get around the city — even without a car. Many TTC buses stop at this intersection, as they run their routes throughout midtown.
Alternatively, to reach destinations outside of the immediate area, taking either the 34, 54, or 56 buses from that intersection’s north-east corner carries those living at 1750 Bayview to Eglinton Station in about ten minutes. At Eglinton Station, riders can transfer onto the subway, on the Yonge-University-Spadina line, with a connection to the east-west running Bloor-Danforth line just a few stops south.
Last but not least, the condo is well situated for those whose cars are their main form of transportation,. The wide roads in midtown means driving in area is fast-paced. And when traffic cooperates, one can access the highway quite quickly: drivers can either head east on Eglinton to the Don Valley Parkway, or north on Bayview to the 401 – both taking around ten minutes to reach.
