About 2181 Yonge Street — Quantum South Tower
The sizeable condo at 2181 Yonge Street isn’t big just for the sake of it. Rather, the building is home to 334 Toronto condos so that there’s plenty of opportunity for prospective buyers to land Toronto condos for sale in this idyllic location. In fact, the Quantum South Tower is part of a complex made up of two twin towers, which includes Quantum North Tower. Built in 2007, the south tower was the first of the two to be occupied, and reaches to 28 storeys.
Becoming more and more trendy — and therefore dense — by the day, midtown Toronto offers its residents plenty of activities, amenities, and entertainment, paired with a slightly less hectic environment. And the Minto Group Inc. certainly picked up on this before deciding to build such a robust tower.
For those who need a little peace and quiet, residents can grab a book and head out to the circular landscaped courtyard, where they can sit by the fountain that’s located between the Quantum South and Quantum North Towers.
Rest and relaxation can also be found in 2181 Yonge’s Landmark Club: this is where the amenities are found, and the lineup includes a modern gym, a party room with lounge, kitchen, bar, and dining room, an indoor lap pool, sauna, and hot tub, plus a common terrace. The concierge, on the other hand, is stationed down in the lobby. And to top it all off, visitors will never feel like they are overstaying their welcome, thanks to the building’s guest suites.
The Suites
Yet another benefit of such a sizeable building is the variety of units held within it. Sizes range from comfortable 600 square foot units, to palatial penthouses that reach to approximately 3,700 square feet. With numerous schools, but also plenty of businesses, in the area, residents living all sorts of lifestyles can be found in the Quantum South Tower.
While this unit might not be for everyone, it’s worth mentioning the penthouse for those with bigger budgets who are interested in 2181 Yonge. A marble-clad penthouse boasts three bedrooms and three terraces, and can easily compete with those in Yorkville (in every aspect other than price).
Even the units on the smaller end have the same fresh, bright aesthetic as the rest of the homes in the building. The contemporary homes are elegant and stylish, with natural light flowing in through big, bright windows, many of which reach from floor to ceiling and wall to wall.
The majority of the suites feature one or two bedrooms, while some also boast dens. Ceilings reach up to 10 feet in certain units, with stainless steel appliances and open concept layouts being the standard throughout. Additionally, some living spaces extend into the great outdoors, thanks to their sizeable terraces.
The Neighbourhood
Buyers who want to live in the most bustling area north of Bloor will be more than satisfied with what they find in the Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood. Thankfully, then, the Quantum South Tower is located just steps south of the Yonge and Eglinton intersection.
Along Yonge Street, residents can find businesses that range from elegant Italian eateries to used book stores. The Yonge Eglinton Centre is a great one-stop-shop, where one can mail a letter, visit the bank, watch a film, shop for clothing, makeup, and books, and pick up a bottle of wine to go along with dinner.
Those who love spending time outside will also be pleased to hear that there’s plenty of green space surrounding 2181 Yonge. Eglinton Park, with its outdoor swimming pool, baseball diamonds, and playground, takes less than 10 minutes to reach on foot. Someone looking for an all day adventure can cycle over to Sunnybrook Park in order to connect with the Don Valley Trails — hikers are welcome here as well.
Indoor activities for the whole family are also within close proximity. Rainy days might call for a trip to the Ontario Science Centre, the Aga Khan Museum, or even Sky Zone Trampoline Park.
Transportation
Traveling to and from 2181 Yonge is simple, especially thanks to its address — living right on Yonge definitely has its perks. Eglinton Station, on the Yonge subway line, is just across the street from the Quantum South Tower. From here, passengers can ride north toward York Mills, or even as far as Finch. A ride south, on the other hand, will land travelers in Yorkville, at the Eaton Centre, or as far south as Union Station.
Those heading east and west can catch a bus from inside the station as well—the sheltered bus area is especially handy for those rainy or snowy days. Traveling west on the Eglinton bus offers passengers the chance to connect onto trains at Eglinton West Station, on the University-Spadina Line.
Drivers can head east along Eglinton in order to reach the Don Valley Parkway, while the 401 is also a short ride north. And for those heading toward the downtown core, all a driver has to do is take Yonge Street south.
