About 2221 Yonge Street2221 Yonge Condos

As the city expands, and as density rises, more and more condos are likely to appear in midtown Toronto hotspots like Yonge and Eglinton. The 2221 Yonge Condos are following that trend, although the building manages to stand out amongst other nearby high-rises thanks to its expansive podium, lovely terrace, and unique architectural details.

Completed in 2018, the condos at 2221 Yonge Street have a façade of white metal and glass, plus a contemporary lobby with high ceilings and a large fireplace. The Toronto condos within 2221 Yonge offer prospective buyers a luxurious spot to live above the bustling Intersection of Yonge and Eglinton, and easy access to the subway and the rest of midtown.

Best of all, the building has a long list of amenities for residents to get used to, including a gym and yoga studio, a 7th floor rooftop terrace, bicycle parking, a visitor and resident parking garage, a hot tub and pool, concierge and security services, a meeting room, a media room, a garden, a games room, a spa, and a chef-inspired catering kitchen.

    The Suites

This development holds 566 units. These homes are spread out over 58 storeys, and range from just under 400 square feet to almost 1,000 square feet. Toronto condos for sale here come with 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms and 1 or 2 bathrooms. Best of all, most of the units feature large balconies, perfect for enjoying that first cup of coffee in the morning, or relaxing under the stars in the evenings.

All of 2221 Yonge Street’s homes feature 9-foot ceilings, laminate wide plank wood floors (with options for broadloom carpet in bedrooms), and floor-to-ceiling windows that make for warm interiors and spectacular views of the neighborhood below.

Kitchens in the suites are finished with Caesarstone countertops, ceramic tile backsplashes, and modern appliances. And bathrooms are equally posh, fitted with soaker tubs, porcelain sinks, and marble counters.

    The Neighbourhood

There’s never a shortage of things to do, eat, drink, or visit around in the area. Most importantly, there's an Aroma, Second Cup, Starbucks and Tim Hortons at the corner of Yonge and Eglinton, so coffee is definitely covered. In terms of actual food (rather than the daily caffeine fix), there are plenty of popular restaurants nearby: these run the gamut from as casual as McDonalds to as elegant as North 44.

For those who prefer to cook or entertain at home, several grocery stores can be found close to 2221 Yonge Street, either at the Yonge-Eglinton Centre just to the north, on Yonge Street, or on Eglinton Avenue East. There are also plenty of errand-running locations like banks, hardware stores, and pharmacies nearby.

For entertainment in the area, residents can check out one of the area’s unique bars or comedy clubs, or another option is to catch a film at one of Yonge and Eglinton’s two movie theatres. On more quiet, studious evenings, residents could visit the nearby Northern District Public Library.

A number of parks are quite close to the 2221 Yonge Street Condos, including Oriole Park, June Rowlands Park, Dunfield Park. There’s also Eglinton Park, complete with a baseball diamond, soccer field and hockey rink, and Sherwood Park, known for its ravine trails and off-leash dog park. Many schools also service the area, including John Fisher Junior Public School, St Monica Catholic School, Davisville Junior Public, Northern Secondary School. And North Toronto Collegiate.

    Transportation

Whether exploring the city for fun or commuting to and from work, travel shouldn't be an issue for residents. The Entrance to the Eglinton Subway Station is just across the street from the building, and TTC busses run east and west across Eglinton Avenue frequently. Alternatively, buses also run north and south along Yonge Street 24 hours a day. As well, the future LRT system set to be finished in 2020 should provide even easier transportation for residents.

Drivers can use the allen road to gain access to the 401 highway to the north, or take the entrance at Bayview Avenue to ride the Don Valley Parkway.
